Lydia Pamudji (@theheartexhibit) is a 21-year-old student and artist. She studies at The Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU with an interdisciplinary concentration in the arts, social justice, ethnic studies, design, digital media, marketing, business, and probably more. She transferred universities from Boston to New York to further explore how creativity fuels social transformation, both in theory and in practice. In addition to working with a variety of visual arts mediums (painting, traditional and digital drawing, animation, graphic, 3D, and other design, etc.), she also writes, dances, and works in community organizing. She’s worked on campaigns, projects, and events with organizations such as Stop AAPI Hate, UNESCO, Facing History And Ourselves, and Second Stage Theater. Some of her published work includes her feature in the book “Queens in Antiquity and the Present: Speculative Visions and Critical Histories” that will be published this summer.
Pamudji’s research focus at the moment is in communities/women of color and artistic activism, and she’s in the process of creating/facilitating related projects. She also currently works for Adweek on their community-led projects such as the CMO Moves Podcast, CMO Sustainability Accelerator, Adweek Rising and Executive Mentor Program, and Women Innovators and Trailblazers.
